Groot Winterhoek & Gin

This is a very popular hiking experience that happens during the winter.

We gather in the small town of Porterville and hop into one of the local taxis to start this adventure. We stop in Dasklip Pass for coffee and rusks, whilst enjoying the beautiful views. We then head to the Groot Winterhoek Nature Reserve where we do an easy 3 – 5km walk. We will stop for a fantastic brunch break on our route. After the hike, we head to Ginsmith in the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness area. The distillery is off the grid, one of the highest and smallest hand-crafted breweries in South Africa with multiple award-winning gins for you to taste. We will end the day with a delicious G&T of your choice.
